Small update for small resolution devices

As requested, I've updated the software.
I've just added an item "Repair" in the "Options" menu.
This will allow to repair even if you don't see the repair button :o)
Sorry for the delay...

I can't download the repair tool. Is it available? Link seems to be broken...

Thanks!

is there a version for WM6 ?

Where are the registry entries from which the tool pulls accounts? I have tattooed registry from deleted accounts that were not completely removed, and I am looking for clues to methods to complete the removals.

WM6: This version should work for WM6 devices as well as WM5.

This application uses low level api to access mail accounts, instead of the registry.

I have several old Hotmail accounts that show up on my Manila2d Today plug in. I was pleased to see your tool for repairing them (from which you can presumably remove them). However every time I press the repair button it comes back with "Repair Failed".

Any suggestions?

best wishes,

Ashley

Hi, sorry for the delay. Unfortunately, this tools is not able to repair Hotmail accounts. This is a particular kind of account and not seems to be managed (by the device) as pop3 accounts.

Nicolas: I'm hopeful you can help out. I have a Dash (windows mobile 6). I am using Emoze to push my Outlook email on my personal computer to my phone. However, I've run into the problem of my inbox not showing up as it should. Emoze told me to run your tool, which I did. I go to repair that account, and it defaults me to the Outlook email on my Dash...which I've never set up. In the meantime, I continue to get emails pushed from my desktop Outlook via Emoze to my phone but am not able to access them. Has anyone else had this problem? Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, could you please contact me by email (nicolas.mauri at gmail) ?
Could you also tell me how emoze is configured on you dash ? (customer edition ? ).
When running the repair tool, which reparable accounts do you see in the dropdown list ?

Thank you very much for your work Nicolas.

As for me mailAccountRepair has helped after I have restored a backup image of the full system (SKTools)from one HTC Touch HD to a brand new one. I had two phantom accounts, Gmail and my private POP one. I could not find any traces in the registry. What are the files involved, what does your tool do? Well, only if you have the time to answer. By the way, the link to latest version is hard to find. Here is it again: http://nmauri.free.fr/public/bin/mailaccountrepair.rar
Best regards

Again thanks and I wish you a very nice day.

Nicolas,

Thanks you. I had 3 "phantom accounts" that had unread messages appearing on the Today screen after doing a restore. Your program found the messages. I had to delete the unread messages from each of the three accounts before my settings would take. It wasn't a big deal, just an FYI and a whole lot better than doing a hard reset etc..

Hi Nicolas,
I have a similar problem with emoze as your 2/20/09 commenter. I run a Samsung Blackjack with WM5. Emoze suggested I run your program, but it does not seem to be able to locate my emoze inbox. I get notifications but can't access anything.

Hi, I'm sorry, but if your emoze account doesn't appear in the accounts dropdown list I'm afraid this tool cannot help you.

hi,
excellent tool
do you plan to support IMAP4?
it recovered an IMAP account, but I had to enter the details in the account settings.
do you make the source code available?

many thanks

Karl
